YAM-NW features two speaker series every year:
- Theology on Tap
- Winter Wine Series
The more well speaker series, Theology on Tap (affectionately known as ToT) originated in Arlington Heights in 1981, right in the heart of YAM-NW's region, and we are proud to continue the tradition. Held every summer, ToT's goal is to "bring the faith to where the people are." ToT has evolved over the years, with the program reaching the far stretches of the Catholic Church. YAM-NW holds 4-5 ToT sessions every summer, at local bars or at the parishes.
At each ToT, you can always expect:- A speaker presenting about topics salient to today's Young Adults
- Beer (c'mon it is called Theology on Tap)
- No entrance fee - all ToTs are open to the public and free
- Young Adults interested and engaged in their faith
Winter Wine Series is a winter program that is special to YAM-NW. Started in 2015, the YAM-NW team at the time realized that everyone loves and looks forward to ToT season, so why should we have to wait until summer? With that, Winter Wine was born! During these talks, our goal is to break up the winter blues with some good company, great speakers, and, of course, wine! We have been fortunate enough to feature new and exciting speakers before they become mainstays in ToT.
At each Winter Wine, you can always expect:- A speaker presenting about topics salient to today's Young Adults
- Wine (kind of part of the name - Winter WINE)
- No entrance fee - all WWSs are open to the public and free
- Young Adults interested and engaged in their faith

With the concerns and recent news relating to COVID-19, and after reading the directions and guidance from the Archdiocese of Chicago (for the press release go here), we have decided to cancel all events.. We are offering other options. Go check out our Calendar to see. Also check out our Virtual Resources for Daily Mass, Daily Readings, and other sources to feed your hunger for your faith.

As a part of YAM-NW's efforts to minister to the different aspects of the Catholic Young Adult - Spiritual, Service, and Social, YAM-NW works to offer a variety of events designed to meet Young Adults' spiritual needs. Throughout the year, we have Bible Studies, Speaker Sessions, Retreats, and other events.
