The Directors/Coordinators of Religious Education in Vicariate 1 (LCCA) are offering Level 1 Catechist Certification Courses for the Archdiocese of Chicago at two locations in our area. These courses will begin the second week of January and run through mid-March. A spiritual retreat will also be offered as well as additional courses throughout the summer months.
These classes will provide dynamic theological and methodical formation and resources as well as spiritual and prayer experiences to facilitate an encounter with Christ. The effectiveness of your ministry comes from the fruits of your spiritual growth and closer relationship with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The vitality of parishes depends on the formation of children, youth, and families. Just providing information does not ensure successful catechesis. Experiences of prayer and creative lessons will help transform the next generation into true-disciples of Christ.
The Spiritual Formation Sessions are offered in January at two different times and locations to accommodate most schedules.
Each class is 90 minutes in length. Light refreshments will be provided.
